Places to post and publish replications opened. Preregistration sites were established and data repositories created. Journals began requiring that methods and data be accessible. Prompted in part by a rhetoric characterizing psychology as “broken,” “in crisis,” or characterizing areas of inquiry within it as a “mess” ( 56), self-correction finally ensued within the last half decade.
